Coleman Project Space in London presents during May Disco Hospital. The exhibition features the work of six artists whose diverse practices utilise contrasting processes of drawing and collage. The show examines the different ways in which contemporary artists explore the possibilities that drawing and collage offer them and how these processes are still relevant in an increasingly digitised age. The artists involved, work in a variety of ways, from traditional pencil on paper to digital media to 16mm film. Perry Rubenstein Gallery is pleased to announce that renowned artist Sturtevant will be the subject of a solo show this May in both the 23rd and 24th Street galleries. This large-scale exhibition marks the artists first major solo show in New York in nearly 10 years. Working alongside her contemporaries beginning in the mid-1960s, Sturtevant (born 1930 in Lakewood, Ohio) is best known for her repetition of works by Andy Warhol, Frank Stella, Claus Oldenburg, Jasper Johns and Joseph Beuys, among others. Towell will be releasing his Dark Years CD and signing copies of No Man's Land, his book of new photographs documenting the Palestinian-Israeli conflict on the West Bank. The exhibition introduces Larry Towell's photography to London. Towell offers an intimate look into humanity. The exhibition includes several series of work: the wreckage of the World Trade Center in NYC, the war-torn people of El Salvador, and the domestic scenes of Mennonite migrant workers of Mexico.
